Starting childcare is a big change for a small person. Kindoo Intro breaks it into small steps: shorter first sessions, one dedicated Big Buddy educator, and a pace set by your child rather than the calendar.
What is Kindoo Intro?
Kindoo Intro is our settling in program, and every new family goes through it. Rather than a full day on day one, your child eases in with shorter bookings and a familiar educator who has already learned their routines.
It applies to all new children, from six months to four years, because a calm, confident start matters at every age. You pay only for the hours you book along the way, and the Child Care Subsidy applies throughout.
A start in three gentle steps
The orientation visit
A complimentary one hour visit where you meet your child's Big Buddy, talk through routines, comfort items and needs, and we set up the Xplor Home app so you can see the day.
Shorter first bookings
Early sessions are kept short, often two to three hours, with the Big Buddy alongside your child. The length grows as your child is ready. You pay only for the hours booked.
The first full session
Once your child is settled, bookings move to your enrolled session type, with the Big Buddy staying as their familiar educator for ongoing support.
Your child's Big Buddy
Each new child is paired with a Big Buddy, a dedicated educator for the settling in weeks. Your Big Buddy learns your child's routines, is the familiar face at drop off, and is your main point of contact while your little one finds their feet.

Tips for a smooth first week
- Keep drop offs brief, warm and consistent.
- Send a comfort item and a family photo.
- Book consecutive days where you can, so the rhythm sticks.
- Give it a little time before calling to check in, we will always call you if needed.
- Expect a wobble around week two or three, it is normal and it passes.
